Brother began in Nagoya, Japan in 1908 under the name Yasui Sewing Machine Co. The corporate name was changed to Brother Industries, Ltd. in 1962, and around this time, Brother first started selling printers. Besides printers Brother diversified into manufacturing label printers, multi-functional printer scanner copiers, garment printers, Music sequencers, manufacturing and machining tools, and Joysound karaokes in the 1960s. Taking over the Jones Sewing Machine Company in 1968, Brother moved its UK headquarters to Audenshaw, Manchester. In December 2011, Brother diversified its infrastructure by acquiring Nefsis, a pioneer in web-based remote collaboration and conferencing software. Though Brother is probably best known for their printers, they still manufacture products in all these niches. What is Brother iPrint&Scan?
Brother iPrint&Scan is a FREE application to print and scan wirelessly from your AndroidTM and iOS supported devices including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, without the need for a computer.
The Drum LED is still on or flashing after I replace the drum unit with a new one.
You will need to reset the LED after you replace the drum. Open the front cover. To reset the drum counter, press and hold down Go for about 4 seconds until all the LEDs light up. Once all four LEDs are lit, release Go. Close the front cover. The LED will now be off.
My lights flicker and my electricity surges when I am using my Brother printer.
All Brother printers have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to meet recognized safety standards. The power consumption of the printer will increase slightly when it is warm-up or cold, due to the fast wake-up feature that is incorporated into the printer to promote efficient use of energy and that meets Energy Star specifications. This also ensures an output speed of up to 20 pages per minute while printing. The change in power consumption in this case may cause your lights to flicker or dim, depending on the circuit size. You could also encounter this if your house doesn't meet today's current wiring standards. If you are concerned, it is likely not caused by your printer, and you may want to call an electrician to inspect your home's electrical setup.
The error message "No Supported Devices Found" appears on the Brother iPrint&Scan (mobile device).
Your Brother machine does not support iPrint&Scan, not all Brother printers are equipped to work with the mobile app.
My printed documents are incomplete or a blue screen appears when printing or using PC-FAX after a Windows 10 update
Certain Windows 10 updates distributed by Microsoft in March 2021 may cause a blue screen that appears on your computer screen and forces your computer to restart when you try to print. If you are experiencing this issue, you will need to revert your windows update to the previous version. This is a windows error and not an error with your Brother printer.
