The MHV2100AH mobile hard disk drive offers 100GB capacity with 5400RPM functionality giving users more performance compared to 4200RPM hard disk drives, but with low power consumption increasing the time that users can spend away from an outlet. The Fujitsu MHV2100AH is also in the first Fujitsu hard disk drive range that is RoHS compliant/lead free. RoHS refers to the European Commission's RoHS directive for eliminating certain hazardous materials in the manufacturing of electronic equipment.

Shock Tolerance: FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) spindle motor and Head Load/Unload mechanism enable in high shock tolerance. The drives withstand up to 900Go-p (duration 1ms) non-operating shock and up to 225Go-p (duration 2ms) operating shock.
Silence: FDB spindle motor is incorporated for silent operation.
High Performance: Read Ahead Cache and Write Reordering Cache enable the drives to execute read and write operation in high speed.
High Reliability: 320bit length ECC (Error Correction Code) and S.M.A.R.T function enable the drives to improve the data reliability.
