The Adaptec File Saver is a network storage server. Its ideal for small businesses, remote offices, workgroups and mobile laptop users. Save your files before they fly the coop without your permission. This device offers PC users a critical safety net for the files on their local hard drives. The software automatically backs up files and a wizard (no magic wand required) allows users to restore lost files themselves. The File Saver includes 4 hot-swappable 250 GB drives for 1TB of raw capacity. Up to 4 hot-swappable appliances can be configured as a single 4TB volume with the option of adding patented Adaptec RAIN technology for additional fault tolerance.

Client Backup software features: Wizard-guided client software installation and management. Backup begins automatically with default settings. Advanced settings provide for customizable, rule-based backup. Simple wizard for restoring lost files. Only new or modified files are saved after initial system backup, to optimize network performance.
Client User Licenses: 25 user licenses included with each appliance. Additional user licenses available. Up to 100 users per appliance in single appliance or mirrored configuration. Up to 100 additional users with each subsequent appliance.
Capacity: 1 TB raw per appliance (4 x 250 GB Serial ATA drives), and up to 4 TB raw per array. 720 GB usable hardware RAID 5 protected storage per appliance, and up to 2.88 TB per array.
